Tonewood Recording Studio is owned and run by professional musician and music producer Mark Reader, formally with BBC Television and frontman for top rock band Strider.
Mark has been a professional musician for over 35 years and has worked with some top names including Bill le Sage, Alec Dankworth, PJ Proby, Nick Tauber, Claire Sweeney to name but a few.
As a former musical director/music producer for BBC TV, and with his vast experience in the music industry, Mark will help you produce a recording and CD to the highest possible standard.

Our live room is 23ft *18ft and we record:
Bands, musicians, singers, choirs, voice-over's, orchestral and folk ensembles etc.
We produce albums for singer/songwriters, bands etc, and can provide professional session musicians and programmers for backing music.
Audio editing of wave files: -
This can include any sound file, songs, backing tracks, compilations etc.
Home recordings can be re-mastered to enhance their quality for mass production or old analog recordings can be digitized, enhanced and transferred to CD.
Kaeli Jensen
Mark Reader will be backing Kaeli Jensen from the USA on Radio Merseyside Tuesday 5th May. He and Kaeli will be performing live on the radio with Mark providing the backing playing Acoustic Guitar.
Claire Sweeney
Claire Sweeney brought an 8 piece band in to record a backing track for her performance at the Liverpool Arena.
Bernard Matthews
The music for the Bernard Matthews "Green tick" Television Comercial was recorded at Tonewood with composer Billy Kinsley. The song used was "It's a Beautiful Day".

Syndicate Films came to Tonewood to record background artists for their film " Outlaws "
As well as the audio recording, we were required to set up large screen projection of the film in the sound room so that artists could perform to the visuals.
Granada Reports.
Granada Reports came to Tonewood to film local Singer Asa Hart and the studio was seen by millions of people around the North West.
