The Analogue Suite is dismantled at the moment due to refurb and relocation in the studio building. We will be housing the analogue suite in a new part of the building with it's own sound room so it can be used independantly, it will be known as Studio 2.
At the heart of the analogue studio will be an
Allen and Heath System 8 24 : 16 : 8 mixing desk, and a Fostex B16, multi tracktrack analogue tape machine.
This will be linked to either the Pro -Tools suite, or a Studio Services computer with an M-Audio 1010 sound card running Cubase VST, via an XRI Systems X3000 SMPT time code generater.
The room has outboard gear including: -
A Lexicon Reverb, Drawmer and Behringer Compressors, Alesis Quad-reverb GT, Yamaha SPX900 and Ibanez digital effects, as well as various analogue effects.
Mastering can be straight to CD or DVD for that perfect Digital Master, or to a Teac 1/4 inch Analogue tape machine, a Fostex D5 DAT machine, or Sony Mini Disc.
Other facilities include the ability to master from any format to CD, including all those demo tapes that people have tucked away in they're back room from bands they used to be in many years ago. This will include 1/2 Track master tapes from the sixty's and seventy's as well as DAT , cassette tape and mini disc.
